2025 and this February sees the culmination of Coven Collective's project Growing Season.... I am lucky enough to be one of thirteen artists who were invited to work on a piece of our own from its inception (shown last September)  through to its realisation.

I chose to rework my Survival Kit for the project. So it underwent a long drawn-out process of deconstruction, alternative construction, and eventually reconstruction, taking me on a circumnavigatory journey of self-discovery, and though the work may have ultimately returned to more or less its original incarnation, it now functions very differently, for me at least. I no longer see it as a game, a joke, albeit the result of play, and though the humour still exists within it,  it is just a lens to look through before we sharpen the focus.

 'Growing Season, part 2'  will take place in Lewisham Arthouse from Friday 21st February until Sunday 2nd March.
